USA Network Taps Jim Furyk as Analyst for U.S. Open and Select Events
USA Network announced on June 8, 2026 that former major champion Jim Furyk will join its golf broadcast team as an analyst for the 126th U.S. Open and several other marquee tournaments later this summer.
Furyk, the 2003 U.S. Open winner and 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup captain, will appear on USA Network’s coverage beginning with Thursday’s opening day at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. He will also contribute to the network’s Thursday‑afternoon and weekend telecasts.
In addition to the U.S. Open, Furyk’s on‑air duties will include:
- Open Championship – coverage from Royal Birkdale Golf Club (July 16‑19).
- Travelers Championship – USA Network’s live broadcast from Rochester, New York.
- Tour Championship – the season‑final event in Atlanta, Georgia.
“I’m really excited to join the booth for the U.S. Open, the Open Championship, the Travelers Championship and the Tour Championship this summer on USA Network and Golf Channel,” Furyk said in a press release. “I had a great time calling the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players Championship on Golf Channel and look forward to sharing my perspective with viewers starting next week at Shinnecock.”
Furyk’s broadcasting résumé includes stints as a guest analyst on Golf Channel’s Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players Championship earlier this season. His 30‑plus‑year playing career features 17 PGA Tour wins, a FedEx Cup title in 2010, and a reputation for steady, analytical insight—qualities USA Network hopes will enhance its golf coverage for the remainder of the 2026 season.
