July's Biggest Premieres on Hulu Include 'They Fight,' Twisty Crime Thriller 'Furious' and More
Hulu's popularity could be attributed to its vast collection of great older TV shows and movies, and some top-notch original shows, including Only Murders in the Building, Paradise and The Handmaid's Tale. The platform's collaboration with FX has also produced some of the platform's most prestigious and popular shows, including The Bear, Reservation Dogs and Shogun.
Hulu's got one of the most diverse programming slates this month, featuring sports, music, docuseries and sitcoms. You can catch the streaming premiere of the annual ESPY Awards on July 16 on the platform to watch some of the biggest sports stars of the year get their flowers, or watch the new boxing drama They Fight, starring Andre Holland and Wendell Pierce, which is based on the true story of boxing coach Walt Manigan. The Devil Wears Prada 2 will hit on July 29, the same day it lands on Disney Plus.
The new crime series Furious, starring Emmy Rossum, arrives this month, as does a special episode of the hit FX comedy Adults. And on the heels of last month's Bonnaroo livestream, you can watch every day of Lollapalooza live from Grant Park in Chicago on the streamer.
Here's a look at when you can watch these titles and more of Hulu's new releases this July.
Abandoned is a Spanish docuseries available now on Hulu about a trio of siblings who were found abandoned at a Barcelona train station in 1984. Unable to explain who they were or who their parents were, they were eventually adopted by a new family. Forty years later, those children went on a quest to find out who their parents are and why they were abandoned. The four-episode series seeks to uncover the truth about what really happened all those years ago. Abandoned was released earlier this year in Spain and arrives on Hulu in the US on July 1.
Saturday Night Live breakout star Marcello Hernandez will host the 2026 ESPYs, which will premiere Wednesday, July 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN Plus. The show will stream the next day on Hulu and Disney Plus. The annual award show will be broadcast live from Lincoln Center in New York City and, in addition to honoring all of the year's most significant athletes and their contributions, special honorees will include the late basketball star Jason Collins, former MLB pitcher Jim Abbott and US Coast Guard rescue swimmer Scott Ruskan.
They Fight is a Hulu original sports drama starring Andre Holland as Walt Manigan, a boxing coach who takes on a ragtag team of aspiring boxers after he's released from prison. The film is based on the 2018 documentary of the same name, and Wendell Pierce, Samara Wiley and Mykelti Williamson also star. After premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, the film arrives on Hulu July 17.
After running for 13 seasons on Fox, Mike Judge's animated series King of the Hill returned with new episodes on Hulu in 2025. A new season, which sees Hank and Peggy Hill settling into retirement and dealing with the antics of their now-adult son Bobby, arrives on Hulu on July 20. The show features the voices of Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom and Toby Huss, who all starred in the original run of the series.
From creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, who previously created New Girl, The Dropout and Dying for Sex, Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum), who becomes consumed by her investigation into a mysterious female serial killer. The series also stars Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Jake Lacy. The series premieres with three episodes on July 27, followed by new episodes weekly on Mondays.
Lollapalooza, the annual music festival that has found a home at Chicago's Grant Park, will once again be live-streamed on Hulu (and, for the first time, on Disney Plus) this year for all four days of the event. You can catch acts like Lorde, Charlie XCX, Smashing Pumpkins and Tate McRae (and dozens more) during the livestream, which will also include exclusive content, like backstage interviews with talent, behind-the-scenes segments and more. A detailed streaming schedule will be released closer to the event dates.
Hulu's sitcom Adults premiered last year and was an instant hit. The show, about a group of friends living together in Queens, stars Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao and Owen Thiele. This month, a special prequel episode, titled "Marathon Day," which explores the group's origins and how they became friends, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, July 31. It'll be a nice way to tide over fans who are itching for more episodes -- the second season will come out later this summer.
