Pathos Communications: strong H1 debut as AI publicist Pressella takes shape

Pathos Communications Plc (LSE:NEWS) founder and CEO Omar Hamdi joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss a strong first half following the company's public listing, with double-digit growth in both revenue and EBITDA, rising cash receipts and continued AI investment.

Hamdi attributed the performance to a large addressable market, expanding customer relationships and a growing range of services driving repeat business and larger engagements. He described it as "a very, very solid start to the year and start to life as a public company."

The AI strategy centres on Pressella, the company's virtual publicist, which Hamdi sees delivering value in two ways: improving internal productivity and enabling generative engine optimisation, helping clients improve how they're represented by large language models like ChatGPT. Hamdi said the company is taking a measured approach, leveraging seven years of proprietary data to train the platform. "We're not in a rush. We've got to get this right," he said.

Entering the second half with nearly $1 million in deferred income and around $6 million available, Pathos is actively evaluating both organic growth and acquisition opportunities.
