Tech Edge hosted a fireside chat on July 27 at Nasdaq MarketSite with Dan Kramer, Chief Executive Officer of Equiniti. The in-person interview was joined by Editor-in-Chief John Jannarone and they discussed what has to be true for a share to be tokenized and still count as a real share since not all tokens work the same way. They also discussed the current push to get the SEC to treat issuer-backed tokens differently than third-party tokens, tokenization and dematerialization and what needs to happen in terms of governance and shareholder rights for this to work at scale, and Equiniti being acquired by Bullish and what this combination means for the company's future.
