Sri Lanka sentences two officials to death for not stopping 2019 Easter bombings

Sri Lanka has sentenced a former police chief and a defence secretary to death for failing to prevent the Easter Sunday church bombings in 2019. The coordinated attacks killed 279 people and injured hundreds more.
