Accordia Bank is offering a 5.00% APY booster on high-yield savings account for its rebrand — how to get it

www.cnbc.com · August 21, 2026 · 20:00

New name, same bank — plus a higher rate for some savers.

Formerly known as CCBank, Accordia Bank has rebranded and is celebrating with a limited-time "Rebrand Boost" on its high-yield savings account. Through Jan. 31, 2027, Utah residents can earn a combined 5.00% APY, which is made up of a 4.00% variable base rate and a 1.00% boost. That's an especially attractive rate at a time when savings yields have been trending lower following the Fed's rate cuts.

And if you live outside Utah, there's still a reason to take a look: The account earns a competitive 4.00% APY without the boost.

Here's how the account works, who qualifies for the bonus rate and how Accord stacks up against other top savings options.

Accordia Bank High-Yield Savings offers the following rate structure, at the time of writing this article:

The Rebrand Boost applies to balances up to and including $500,000; any amount above that earns the standard 4.00% rate. You only need a $100 minimum deposit to open the Accordia high-yield savings account, and you don't need a minimum balance afterward to keep earning interest. There are no monthly maintenance fees.

5.00% APY (Utah residents only, includes a temporary +1.00% "Rebrand Boost" through Jan 31, 2027) / 4.00% APY for everyone else. Variable rate.

$100 minimum deposit to open; no minimum balance required afterward to earn interest

6 free withdrawals per statement cycle (check, debit card, phone, or online/mobile transfer); $5 fee per withdrawal beyond that. Unlimited in-person or ATM withdrawals.

Withdrawals are capped at six free per statement cycle (via check, debit card, phone or online/mobile transfer) and each additional withdrawal costs $5 each. You can make an unlimited number of withdrawals from your account in person or at an ATM.

You can deposit up to $2,500 online and add funds whenever by transferring from another bank account.

Accordia's rate is competitive, especially for Utah residents who qualify for the full 5.00% APY. Still, if you're looking to get more from your account, it's worth exploring other options that may offer even greater value.

SoFi's Checking and Savings combines savings with a no-fee checking account, making it a convenient alternative to Accordia if you want to manage your everyday spending and savings in one place. It also offers a cash bonus for qualifying customers. The tradeoff is that you'll need a qualifying direct deposit to earn SoFi's top rate.

No account, service or maintenance fees for SoFi Checking and Savings.

Overdraft Coverage is a feature automatically offered to SoFi Checking and Savings account holders who receive at least $1,000 or more in Eligible Direct Deposits within a rolling 31 calendar day period on a recurring basis.

EverBank's Performance Savings rounds things out with a competitive APY and no minimum deposit, making it an easier option if you'd rather not commit the $100 upfront like Accordia requires.

Up to 20 external transfers per day, with a maximum of 10 transfers from a linked external account into your EverBank accounts and 10 transfers from EverBank to external accounts. Up to 50 total external transfers per month.

Happen Bank's LevelUp Savings offers a strong APY along with a debit/ATM card tied directly to the savings account, giving you more convenient access to your money than most savings accounts. Happen Bank also provides unlimited reimbursements for out-of-network ATM fees. The tradeoff is that you'll need to deposit at least $250 each statement cycle to earn the top rate, while Accordia has no ongoing deposit requirement once the account is open.

4.00% (with monthly deposits of $250 or more), or 3.00%

Marcus by Goldman Sachs Online Savings Account also offers a respectable APY, with no limit on the number of withdrawals or transfers you can make. That gives you more flexibility than Accordia's six-withdrawal cap, especially if you expect to access your savings regularly.

No monthly maintenance, overdraft or excessive transactions fee

No limit to the number of withdrawals or transfers you can make
